Summary

Description

This class will come up with a pin design for each of the 25 different Special Olympics Teams participating in the State Games on March 1-3, 2014. The pins will be given to the athletes in their registration packets with a description on how to trade team pins throughout the games weekend.

Project’s Outcomes: The students will have to come up with a fun design with Team name and date/location (i.e. Higher Ground SV 2014 State Games). The students will need to research pin companies and come up with a budget. They can then approach different businesses in the community to see if they will contribute to the pin costs to sponsor a team. They can encourage the businesses to also attend the Special Olympics State Games opening ceremonies where they will announce what the “Spirit Swap” is all about.
