Summary

Description

Providing the space for school groups to be a part of planting and harvesting as well as creating medicines from SBG Education Gardens. The children can engage at any or all places on the seasonal timeline of seed to harvesting of native medicinal plants. Our goal is to provide hands on experience to students and to grow their confidence in identifying the medicinal (and poisonous!) plants of south central Idaho. The very beneficial skill sets of learning how to make nourishing balms and tinctures and syrups from these plant materials are but one benefit to the children, their families and the greater WRV community.
