n September of 2011, Bob Smith dropped off a box of old ski footage from the 1970?s. He was unsure of what it was, but thought the museum should have it. The Ski Museum has not had the funds to digitalize the film. We would like to have the film digitalized and then turned into a brief movie developed by students.

The project would benefit our community in three ways: We would pay tribute to Bob Smith who dies this year, we could capture the vintage film to protect it and honor the film makers, and we could educate the students and our community about the cultural and economical impact of Bob Smith on the history of their community.

After the film is complete, the student group would have access to the film and would edit it into a 30-45 minute film for the community. The film would be shown at the SV Ski Hall of Fame event in late January to pay tribute to the life of Bob Smith.
