The St. Luke’s Wood River Foundation is fortunate to have a truly amazing fine art collection thanks to community generosity. The collection is an array of contemporary art including paintings, photographs, and sculptures generously donated to the medical center or on long-term loan from local art collectors. The SLWR Fine Art Collection greatly enhances and enriches the hospital environment. However, St. Luke’s doesn’t currently have a dedicated student art component in the collection.

In order to remedy this and enhance the hospital environment even further, we are looking to design a dedicated space to display student art.

We are calling all art lovers who are interested in funding an art display box, solely for student art exhibits, as well as create the first art exhibit for the art box. The student art display will live in the hospital for patients, visitors, staff and volunteers to enjoy for years to come.

We are also hoping to find young artists interested in creating the drawings and/or paintings that will be displayed in the newly designed children’s waiting area.

In addition, we wish to entice young art curators who would be willing and able to coordinate a year-long exhibition of student art.
