Summary

Description

The Sawtooth Botanical Garden (SBG) is a community resource showcasing native and cultivated plants that flourish at high altitude. The Garden connects people to the region’s unique beauty and fosters environmental stewardship through education, events, and displays and plant collections. SBG has created many avenues of educating the public to meet its mission stated above. The garden displays interpretive signage, showcase gardens, hosts adult and youth programming, and has a library for visitors to peruse. Two years ago SBG received a grant to disseminate educational brochures to the visiting public. Ten brochures were created with self guided tours of the garden as well as information on drought tolerant lawns, xeriscaping, composting and other garden and sustainable landscaping topics. Visitors have enjoyed the added benefit to their stay and love the option to take some educational literature home with them as a reference. We have run out of these brochures twice to date and are looking for ,000 to reprint them for 2013.
