Summary

Description

In this project our goal is to educate k-12 students about learning differences by presenting age appropriate information about a variety of learning challenges in a classroom setting. It is our hope that through these presentations students will learn to understand the importance of the work that we do at Lee Pesky Learning Center and choose to support our work by providing financial assistance to struggling students.

During these sessions, either Dr. Evelyn Johnson or Dr. Anne Clohessy will discuss how we all learn differently and focus on how unique learning styles can lead to success. These sessions will also address the importance of asking for help when needed and providing learning tips that will be useful to all learners. We will talk with students about how they can build supportive learning environments for their friends, classmates and themselves. Ultimately, we hope to have productive conversations with students that will lead to them have a better understanding of learning differences and help them create more supportive learning environments.
