Summary

Description

Memory Train Books for Students, Parents and Teachers

In this project we are seeking funding to provide a new book that we are in the process of developing, “The Memory Train,” to Blaine County students, parents, teachers and school psychologists. “The Memory Train,” is a picture book that explains how memory works in relation to learning and information processing. The book is laid out to be accessible by children and teens, while providing in-depth information and resources for parents, teachers and school psychologists.

Our goal with this project is to disseminate “The Memory Train,” so that it may be of use to those struggling with learning challenges and bring more understanding and awareness to issues surrounding learning disabilities. At this point, we anticipate presenting the book to classes followed by a conversation where we will discuss the contents of the book and how it relates to learning.
