Summary

Description

Higher Ground is excited to launch this initiative with the goal of promoting inclusion and disability awareness around the Wood River Valley. The scope of the project will include production of a short movie created, edited, and produced by local students. This video will then be projected during various community outreach events that will be coordinated and implemented as a collaborative effort between Higher Ground staff and students. Also included will be presentation development and publication material. We budget this project to be a ,375 undertaking, based solely on direct costs.

Grades K-5

  • Create and Produce video, seen through elementary-age eyes
  • Create script for video
  • Film Higher Ground activities, including Special Olympics, Ski program, Higher Ground program
  • Assist in editing video
  • Have an assembly for the Disability Awareness Video once complete

Grades 6-12

  • Create and Produce video, using statistics on Disabilities in the US, Idaho, and the Wood River Valley
  • Create script for video
  • Film Higher Ground activities, including Special Olympics, Ski program, Higher Ground program
  • Edit video
  • Have an assembly for the Disability Awareness Video once complete
