Summary

Description

Project 125 is designed to provide 125 hours of free sound studio time to students in the Wood River Valley. The 125 hours will be utilized to not only allow students to use the recording studio, but time will also be used to teach the students how to use the equipment. The recording studio is part of the Bud Yorkin Media Center located inside the Y. The studio houses state of the art equipment and top of the line software that is identical to those used by professionals.

As students learn the ins and outs of the studio. They will have the opportunity to create PSA’s to air locally in the valley, webcasts, books on tape, music, etc. The focal point of this project is to give creative space and opportunity for kids to explore while teaching a life skill and possible future career path.
