Estimated project cost:



  1. HPCWRV staff would meet with students to describe end of life, what to expect when they are in a patient’s home or place of residence, insure confidentiality, philosophy of hospice & palliative care and importance of leaving a Legacy
  2. Students who choose this project would be paired with a patient based on interests, commonalities and students’ input
  3. Students would meet with patients weekly (except school holidays)
  4. HPCWRV staff would meet with students, as a group periodically to answer questions, engage students and provide additional information/education
  5. Students would develop/create a Legacy Book – using the model or one of their own design – to the family
  6. HPCWRV staff would meet with students, as a group, to evaluate their experience and gain student insight for future projects and how the project could be used with their family members or how the project may have changed their perception of end of life.
