Summary

Description

TNC will be starting the largest restoration project ever on Silver Creek (the Kilpatrick pond project). Part of this project includes restoring and creating wetlands on the north side of Kilpatrick pond. There will be an opportunity for a new creek access area and a trail through the wetlands to the creek. Creating a series of boardwalks with signage about the importance of wetlands and the creatures found there would be a great addition to the project. Students could design the boardwalk system, research and design the signs, and then come out in the spring and help us build it. A handicap accessible fishing area is also a possibility in this location.
