Students will be in charge of a booth in either the north or the south valley on Bike to School and Work Day and encourage people to ride safely by providing all who stop at the booth a helmet to wear. The student’s job is to properly fit the helmet to those who are getting a free helmet, and to encourage people to always wear helmets while riding a bike. The money raised through the Wow Project will go towards matching money that Mountain Rides raises to purchase helmets from Bell. Prior to the event, you will learn how to fit a helmet properly. Bike to School and Work Day is always on a Friday in mid-May. You will also be in charge of painting and staining the bus shelter near the community school turnoff.
