A classroom would use its Wow funds to provide a Wood River Valley classroom with the equipment needed to have Trout in the Classroom. Trout in the Classroom (through Trout Unlimited and Idaho Fish & Game) gives a teacher equipment, eggs, and syllabus ideas so the class may raise rainbow trout from eyed eggs to fingerlings. Along the way, a teacher can use the trout, and the provided guide and syllabus ideas, to teach about environment, science, math, water quality, data gathering and analysis, art and literature. The experience culminates in the classroom releasing the fingerlings in the local Big Wood River.
