Summary

Mentoring Young Minds

Description

We are looking for one to four middle school students to help elementary students read, study, and do math assignments during after school Homework Clubs at three different elementary schools. Students attending homework clubs will benefit from the additional support and knowledge of older students. It is especially helpful if volunteers at Bellevue and Alturas Elementary schools speak Spanish. Project participants will help younger students read, write, and complete assignments in various subjects. This is an opportunity for middle school students to be role models and have a meaningful impact on younger students. The Homework Club takes place all year, and typically starts right after school. The duration of the club is flexible depending upon student-mentor availability.
