Description

Volunteers from the birding community performed monthly bird counts at Silver Creek Preserve for 10 consecutive years. This data is very valuable for understanding migration patterns and habitat needs of the 150+ species of birds seen in our area. The 10,400 acre Rock Creek property is slated to be an Idaho Fish and Game Wildlife Management Area. Bird counts will be conducted as part of a baseline analysis and help target future restoration projects for sage grouse and other avian species.
