Summary

Current Fish and Game regulations limit fishing in the Kilpatrick Pond to float tubing only. However there have been requests to provide a handicap accessible viewing and bird watching area and there may be an opportunity to provide access as part of the Kilpatrick Pond restoration wetland and boardwalk system. Caroline Aquistapace drew a design for this project.

Description

Funding would go toward trail work and building a safe viewing and turn around area. It is quite an experience to be able to watch the fish filled water, the ever changing skies, light on the hills and listen to the birds singing. Students will then be able to visit the newly accessible site with their friends, family or community members using wheel chairs and other adaptive equipment.
