Description

St. Luke’s Wood River Medical Center has a very special waiting area called Carter’s Corner where pediatric patients and young visitors can play and relax in a dedicated space, designed for them. Carter’s Corner has toys, video games, a television and DVD’s for children to enjoy. However, it has been a number of years since Carter’s Corner has been updated and the toys and furniture in Carter’s Corner are outdated and worn.

This special space needs creative minds to think of ways to improve and refresh the space so that more children can enjoy it. We are looking for Blaine County students who are interested in helping us redecorate and refresh Carter’s Corner with the intention of creating a healing environment and entertaining space for our young patients and visitors.

This project has an investment component as well as a service component. Students will tour Carter’s Corner and brainstorm improvements to be made. Students will invest in the improvements and finally, document their experience with a video.
